Bossier City Police department is currently investigating a shooting where a woman was shot in her leg.

Early this morning, police responded to a call on the 1100 block of Clarence St. in Bossier City, where a woman had been shot by a man in her living room. According to Bossier City Police Public Information Officer Mark Natale, the only description that the victim was able to give is that the suspect is male.

At this time, police are still on the crime scene, looking for evidence. There does not seem to be any sign of forced entry into a home and in this early stage of the investigation, police are not calling this a home invasion.

The woman's husband and children were in the home during the shooting, but they were not injured.

Fox 33 was the only station at the location when the victim came home from the hospital. She was limping, but appeared to be otherwise fine.
