Bossier City police obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of attempted armed robbery after he tried to rob a woman on September 14, as she got into her car to leave the parking lot of Harrah’s Louisiana Downs.

During the incident the victim sustained cuts to her hands and chestas she attempted to take away a knife that Martinez had in his hand.Martinez then fled the scene on foot after not taking anything from the victim who was later taken to a local hospital by Bossier City Fire Department personnel to have her wounds treated.

Martinez worked for a third party contractor in the racetrack’s stable area and was not an employee of Harrah’s Louisiana Downs. Efforts are being made to extradite him to Bossier City.
