Bossier City, LA (KMSS) — A water break line has resulted in a boil advisory for the 1800 block of Barksdale Boulevard.
The line, located in the parking lot of Bayou Outdoor Supercenter RV Store, ruptured yesterday at 1:00 p.m. This caused the roadway in front of the business to flood.
The portion of Barksdale Boulevard from Interestate 20 north to Old Minden Road has been closed due to the amount of water on the road.
Crews with the city's utilities department have the water turned off and repairs are being made.
The work was expected to be complete Friday evening.
The boil advisory is in effect for the 1800 block of Barksdale Boulevard and involves just the Bayou Outdoor Supercenter RV Store which has been notified of the advisory.
No other businesses or are any residences affected by the advisory.
Due to state regulation when a boil advisory is issued it must be made public.
The advisory only pertains to water used for consumption. The city will notify you when the advisory has been lifted.
