Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Benton man was arrested Monday for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment).
James K. Frasier, 41, of the 100 block of Theresa Lane in Benton, was taken into custody after Bossier Sheriff’s deputies said he struck his live-in girlfriend several times in the face with a closed fist, while she was holding their one-month old child.
The couple was in a verbal argument which led to a physical altercation when Frasier hit his live-in girlfriend of seven years. She went to the neighbor’s house to get help, but Frasier followed her and struck her again with the back of his hand, causing her to fall and get scratched on her right leg.
Bossier Sheriff’s deputies observed the girlfriend to have a swollen left eye, busted lips and a small laceration on the inside of her mouth.
Frasier was taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked on the domestic abuse battery charge. His bond is pending.
