Law enforcement authorities are searching for a robber who stole money, then attacked an employee at the La Fuenta Plaza Latina Thursday in west Shreveport.

At around 2:55 p.m., officers were called to a reported armed robbery at the La Fuente Plaza Latina in the 8900 block of Kingston Road. When police arrived, they learned a man had entered the business, pulled a mask down over his face and demanded money from the clerk. The employee gave the robber cash, but the gunman told her he wanted more. When she did not immediately respond, he attacked her. The robber then pulled a gun and forced the clerk to the back of the building where he found some more cash and ran from the scene. The clerk suffered minor injuries.

The bandit is described as a tall black male with a thin build, who was last seen wearing all dark clothing. Anyone who has any information regarding this crime is urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373 or www.lockemup.org
