Bandit robs local business, customers

Local law enforcement is searching for an alleged robber who help a Shreveport business Tuesday morning.

 

At 12:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Waffle House restaurant located in the 6000 block of Financial Plaza Drive.

After arriving at the scene, police learned that an armed man approached an employee outside the restaurant with a semi-automatic gun.  After robbing the employee of an undisclosed amount of cash, he forced them inside the business, during which time he took money from two customers.

While still inside, the bandit demanded a worker open the cash register. He then cleared out the draw and ran from the scene on foot.

 

The suspect is described as black male, standing between five feet seven and five feet nine inches tall with a medium build. The was wearing a large black coat, black bandana, and dark jeans at the time of the robbery.
