Authorities are on the hunt for a man wanted in connection with a home invasion that occurred earlier this month in north Shreveport.

On Staurday,  June 1, 2013, Shreveport Police responded to an apartment home located in the 2900 block of Peach Street relative to a home invasion. Upon officers arrival at the residence, it was learned that the victim reported she had been physically assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, identified as 33 year old Jonas Coffman of Shreveport. Information gathered by authorities revealed that Coffman arrived at the home allegedly kicking in the front door after being denied entry. It was further alleged that Coffman, upon entering the home, committed a battery on the person of the victim without her consent. Coffman, who was not on scene when officers arrived is being sought in connection with the crime.

A warrant for the arrest of Coffman was signed by a Caddo Parish District Judge charging him with a single count of Home Invasion. Bond in the matter has been set at $100,000.00. Persons with information on the whereabouts of Jonas Coffman are urged to contact Caddo-Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or on their website at
