Authorities looking for missing 14-year-old girl

Local authorities are asking the public in helping find a teenager who reportedly run away from home.

According to the Shreveport Police Department, officer were dispatched Tuesday to the 1000 block of Highland Avenue on reports of a runaway teenager.

When officers arrived at the scene, the child's mother told police her 14-year-old daughter, Nhyiah Gremillion, ran away from the home there and had not been heard from since.

The girl is described as a black female, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 105 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a short blue jean jacket, blue jeans, and a pink and plaid shirt. She was also wearing pink ballerina shoes and carrying a pink duffel bag with her name embroidered on it.

Nhyiah is not from Shreveport and she was last seen near Centenary Boulevard in Shreveport’s Highland neighborhood.
