An alleged burglar might spend the night behind bars after police discovered he spent the night at a local convenience store.

Around 5:00 a.m. Thursday, Shreveport officers were called to the Circle K convenience store in the 300 block of Kings Highway after an alarm was triggered at the business.

Police arrived to find the front door of the store unlocked and open. Authorities looked at surveillance footage and upon viewing the footage, officers learned that a man had spent the night in the store's restroom.

During the man's stay, he entered the beer cooler and drank several beverages. After he could drink no more, the man left the store only to return a short time later and took several tobacco products and lighters.

Officers familiar with the suspect, identified as Ronald Oskay, 43, of Shreveport,  were able to find and arrest him.

Oskay was found with the stolen tobacco products and lighters.  He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of simple burglary.
