Just after 11pm, Shreveport Police arrived at the Long John Silvers in the 1300 block of Kings Highway, after receiving a call about an armed robbery.

Police say a woman had been at the back door of the restaurant, on her way to take out the trash, when a black man, about 6'2", carrying a handgun came, accosting her.

He forced her back into the restaurant, which was empty, except for another female employee. The armed man demanded the women open the restaurants safe, aiming the gun at them. According to police, the women explained to the man they weren't able to open the safe.

The man left the restaurant after robbing the women personally; leaving them emotionally shaken, but otherwise unharmed.

Shreveport Police are still investigating this crime and searching for a suspect. Anybody with information about the robbery is asked to call Crimestoppers at 673-7373.
