Brinkley, AR (KARK) — Two weeks after a storm flooded part of Arkansas, the water in Brinkley still has not drained.
Homes and fields there are still full of water. Residents are growing impatient, and farmers are worried their crops aren't going to make it, which means their livelihood is at stake.
"There's people who've lost half their crop and I honestly don't know how they're going to survive."
Brinkley's mayor says the ditch drainage system is causing the flooding. State Senator Ron Caldwell said they're waiting for the Federal Government to declare the area a disaster.
