Arkansas man allegedly attempted escape from Caddo Jail
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — An Arkansas man being booked into jail Monday was caught with a handcuff key.
Caddo Police found Christopher Lynn Wright, 34, trying to pass through booking with a handcuff key hidden just inside his mouth near his left jaw.
Wright, of Benton, Arkansas, was transferred to Caddo Correctional Center after he was arrested by police at a local casino for identity theft, unauthorized use of an access card and illegal possession of stolen things.
Sheriff Deputy Keith Morgan noticed the key when it showed up on the body scanner used in booking. Once the key was detected, Wright took it out of his mouth and handed it to deputies.
Wright now faces additional charges of attempted simple escape and possession of contraband inside a jail.
