AR offcials seeing LA citizens' help in solving 2012 murder case

State officials are asking for help is information leading to an arrest and solving of a February 2012 murder.

It is believed Louisiana residents may have information helpful in this case.

Investigators with the Grant County Sheriff's Department and Arkansas Sate Police are investigating a homicide that happened in Grant County on the night of Friday, February 3, 2012.

The body of Danny Joe Stivers, 46, was found by firefighters inside his burning house.

Evidence recovered at the scene, information from investigators and findings by the medical examiner, have led to the conclusion that Stivers was the victim of foul play.

Officials believe the murder was not random, nor does the motive appear to be robbery.

There are persons of interest in the case but no suspects.
