54 year old Robert Earl Walter of Shreveport is accused of killing his former supervisor, 32 year old April Fulghum of Greenwood, on October 10, 2012.

Walter has recently been let go from his maintenance position at the Lexington Place Apartment in Bossier City, when police allege he came back to the apartment complex, killing the apartment manager, Fulghum.

Walter was arrested later that same day.

On Tuesday, Judge Parker Self ruled that Walter was competent to stand trial. He will next appear in court April 30, where his council will discuss possible plea bargains with Bossier and Webster Parish District Attorney Schuyler Marvin, who is personally handling the prosecution of this case.
