Three suspected burglars are in police custody this afternoon after a watchful neighbor brings a halt to their sordid plans.

Shortly before noon today, Shreveport Police officers responded to a burglary in progress at a home located in the 7200 block of Marseille Drive in Shreveport's Valley View subdivision. Officers received the call from a concerned citizen who phoned police and advised that they had just witnessed three suspects breaking into a residence. The vigilant neighbor was able to provide authorities with a detailed description of the three bandits, who fled from officers upon their arrival at the home. Responding officers pursued the offenders on foot, negotiating several fences in the process. Despite their attempts to elude police, all three suspects were quickly captured and taken into custody.

Back at the burglarized home, officers located several items removed from inside the home, stored outside the residence in preparation to be hauled off. Authorities also located property stolen from inside the residence on the person of one of the arrested suspects. Investigators working the case have charged 17 year olds Keshawn Fisher and Charavious Coleman both of Shreveport, with burglary of an inhabited dwelling. Both men were booked into the Shreveport City Jail. A 16 year old juvenile was also arrested and charged with burglary of an inhabited dwelling and booked into the Caddo Juvenile Detention Center.
