The 3rd annual Shreveport-Bossier women and minority career expo draws many job hopefuls
SHREVEPORT, LA (KMSS) — Wednesday morning job seekers from around the ArkLaTex piled inside the Horseshoe Riverdome hoping to land employment.
The career expo was a free event opened to the public and featured more than 50 employers from throughout the area.
Caesear's Entertainment recruiter, Shelli Briery, said the expo is a good way to diversify an employer's workforce.
"Sometimes different groups of people are singled out and this is just one more of those singled out opportunities that will allow us to diversify our work forces and give companies the opportunity to make sure their teams have plenty of diversity in them," said Briery.
The event was hosted by the Horseshoe Casino and Hotel and Harrah's Louisiana Downs in partnership with the Bossier Chamber of Commerce and Goodwill Industries.
