The Bossier City Police Department has confirmed the third suspect who was involved in the attempted theft of an automatic teller machine that resulted in a police pursuit in August has been arrested in Denton County, Texas, on warrants.

Detectives with the BCPD's Property Crimes Unit obtained arrest warrants for Zachary Allen Stone, 29, of Little Elm, Texas, on charges of attempted theft and criminal property damage.

Two other the suspects, Gerri Davis, 24, of White Oak, Texas and Carl Gearhart III, 29, of Tyler, Texas, were already arrested for their part in the crime.

The charges stem from an incident in which Stone, Davis and Gearhart tried to steal an ATM from the Ouachita Independent Bank branch in the 4200 block of Benton Road on August 15, by putting a chain around it then pulling it off its foundation with a pickup truck. They then drove off without taking the machine or any money.

Later that night the suspects lead police on a pursuit after a Bossier City Patrol officer spotted a truck matching the description of the suspect vehicle on Barksdale Boulevard. The pursuit went into Shreveport where the truck went off I-20 near Jewella Avenue. Davis and Gearhart were captured and arrested but Stone escaped on foot.
