2 seriously injured in weekend Shreveport shooting
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Two men are left recovering from serious injuries following a weekend shooting in Shreveport’s Hollywood Heights neighborhood.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, Shreveport Police were called to the 4300 block of Cole Place relative to a reported shooting. Upon arrival of officers, two men, Santielle Bogan, 26, and Ketrick Thomas, 22, both of Shreveport, were located inside a car each suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. The men, who were rushed by ambulance to LSUHSC, were last listed in serious but stable condition.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives were dispatched to the scene at which time; details surrounding the shooting were gathered. Police discovered, as Bogan and Thomas were backing from a private driveway, their car was approached by two masked men, wearing dark clothing armed with guns. It appears that both armed men opened fire on the vehicle, subsequently striking Bogan and Thomas multiple times. Investigators are feverishly working to piece together what events led up to the shooting and are working at this hour to identify and apprehend those persons responsible.
