1 slashed, 5 charged in Shreveport girl fight

A girl fight in west Shreveport early Thursday morning landed five women in trouble with the law.

At around 1:52 a.m., police officers were called to the emergency room at a local hospital to reports of a patient who was suffering from stab wounds. When authorities arrived, they found Monica Samuels, 35, with minor cuts that she had received in a fight with several other women on the 2900 block of Jewella Avenue.

Following an investigation, detectives arrested Timmie Stevenson, 44, Atari Caldwell, 29, and Shontae Washington, 26, all of Shreveport. They were all booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of disturbing the peace by fighting.

Samuels, of Shreveport, was taken into custoy and booked into the city jail on one count of disturbing the peace by fighting. Kashunda Alford, 36, of Shreveport, was issued a misdemeanor summons for criminal property damage and released.
