1 shot on LSUS campus
Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Shreveport Police have arrested a teenager in connection with an alleged robbery attempt that occurred at a local college campus last weekend.
On Saturday, March 23, 2013, officers responded to a shooting at the University Court Apartments in the 8400 block of Youree Drive on the Louisiana State University Shreveport campus.
When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with a man suffering from a single gunshot wound to his leg. During the investigation, authorities learned the victim, who is not enrolled at the college, was lured to the apartments by an alleged suspect under false pretense.
While in the complex parking lot, the victim was stopped by three men, one of whom reportedly had a gun. After being forced to the ground at gunpoint and robbed of his belongings, the victim was shot in the leg by one suspect before all three left the scene.
The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Law enforcement arrested a 16-year-old suspect and charged him with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. He was taken to Caddo Juvenile Detention Center.
