Shreveport native to appear on 'American Idol'
One Shreveport singer will be vying for her chance to make it to Hollywood on this season's 'American Idol'. Twenty-year-old Natalie Hanson of Shreveport was one among many contestants who auditioned for the show in New Orleans this past summer.
She performed for the new idol judges: Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, as well as returning judge, Randy Jackson.
Hanson is the daughter of local musician, David Hanson, who is the lead guitarist and vocalist for The Voodudes.
Part one of the 'American Idol' premiere will focus on auditions from New York and New Jersey. The episode will air tonight at 7 p.m. on Fox 33. You can tune in Thursday night at 7 p.m. on Fox 33 to see if Hanson makes it through to Hollywood.
