A small Ark-La-tex town is divided over a recall petition for its top official. Odis Key has served as mayor of Gibsland, Louisiana, for a total of 13 years, according to residents. However, now some of them are saying his closed-door approach has made it difficult to conduct town business.
A recall petition must have 273 signatures from the town's registered voters in order to go forward. The mayor did not return a call from Fox 33 News seeking comment, but town residents say the controversy over the petition has turned the town into a "storm." The petition must be turned back into the state by June 14 in order to go forward.
