A large group of women packed the Clarion in Shreveport Monday night to meet football stars Darren Sharper and Lance Moore and give to a great cause...breast cancer research. Fox 33 co-sponsored the event, which included a football talk from the New Orleans Saints players.
This is the second year for the camp, which traveled to Baton Rouge and New Orleans last year. It's the first year for Shreveport. The organization donated more than $20,000 to the American Cancer Society in 2010, and with the addition of the third camp, hopes to raise even more. "Anytime that you can help raise the awareness for breast cancer and cancer overall, it's a great thing," Saints wide receiver Lance Moore said. "We're raising money for breast cancer research and hopefully we'll be able to find a cure one day."
