BassMaster tournament brings thousands to the Ark-La-Tex
It was a busy weekend for professional bass fishing, as the Super Bowl of the sport unfolded at the Red River. After the final weigh-in Sunday, Chris Lane of Guntersville, Alabama was declared the winner of the BassMaster Classic, with a total of 15 fish at 51.6 pounds.
It was the first Classic win for the angler, whose brother Bobby also competed in the tournament. The event was expectected to bring thousands to Shreveport-Bossier and pour millions of dollars into the local economy.
