West Shreveport restaurant robbed at gunpoint

Early Tuesday morning, the Waffle House just off Pines Road was robbed at gunpoint.

An armed man came up to a female employee smoking outside, demanding her cell phone and money. After she gave him what he wanted, with the gun pointed at her, he forced her inside the restaurant, where he robbed two customers.

Another employee was forced to empty the register for the armed man. 

No one was injured during the robbery. 

Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, standing between five feet seven and five feet nine inches tall with a medium build. The suspect was listed as wearing a large black coat, black bandana, and dark jeans at the time of the robbery.
