The Firehouse Subs on Youree Drive in Shreveport was packed with firemen Tuesday at lunchtime, but they weren't just there for the yummy food.

Firehouse Subs gave the Shreveport Fire Department a medical device worth $7,200. The new intubation device features various lighting to make intubating easier for firemen.

And while the firemen were happy about the gift, they were even more excited that this equipment will help them to save more lives.

Since 2005, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has donated more than $23,400 to first responders and public safety organizations in Louisiana.
