The Red River District Has Plans To Switch Ownership. The 6-Year-Old Area Previously Owned By Eldorado Casino Could Now Be In The Hands Of The Downtown Development Authority. After A Slew Of Businesses Such As The Funny Bone Comedy Club Left The Area Due To Lack Of Traffic, The Employees That Are Left Are Ready For Some Big Changes And Want To See The Red River Entertainment District Go Back To Being Entertaining.

The Rent Situation Down Here Is Well Elevated And At The End Of The Day You Can't Actually Make Money And Stay Down Here If The Pedestrian Walk Traffic Is Not Down Here.
Although The Dda Has Big Plans To Revamp The Red River District By Adding Restaurants And Shops Business Owners Say It Might Be To Little To Late.

When You Say You Are Going To Do Something, I Prefer, I'm Tired Of Hearing What You Say You Are Going To Do, Just Do It And Then You Can See The Results. But When You Keep On Saying Something...I Have Been Here For Four And Half Years And No Improvement Yet.
Orlando Says If Traffic Does Not Improve When Dda Takes Over He Will Most Likely Leave The District By The End Of The Year. The Dda Is Looking To Add Several New Restaurants As Well As Live Entertainment To The Struggling Area, But If Residents Do Not Come Out The Once Beloved District Will Surely Become A Series Of Empty Office Spaces.
