Just Days After Officers Pegged 34 Year Old Robert Mccoy As The Prime Suspect In The Murders At The Patricia Plaza Apartments, The Heat Was To Get Him Into Custody.
Officers Now Know He Made It Half Way Across The Country Hitch Hiking Into Texas, Arkansas, Washington, And Finally Idaho Before He Was Apprehended.
Cpt. Roger Lanier, Of The Lewiston Police Department In Idaho Said," It Was Just Off Of Our Main Downtown Corridor In A Residential Neighborhood Because He Had Gotten Lost. They Conducted A High Risk Felony Traffic Stop. They Did That Because The Information Given Was That This Was A Homicide Suspect And He Was Possibly Armed.
Not Just Armed But Dangerous As Well. When Officers Got Mr. Mccoy Out Of The Truck, They Found A .380 Semi Automatic Pistol. It Was Loaded, Cocked, And With The Safety Off.
Cpt. Lanier Said, "Initially He Gave Two Different Dates Of Birth And Two Different Social Security Numbers, Neither Of Which Matched Information On The Warrant."
Robert Leroy Mccoy Is Now Being Held At The Nez Perce County Jail. Plans Are Already In The Works To Have Him Extradited Back To Bossier City Which Should Be Sometime This Week.
