Teens Using Real I.D. Cards To Get Into Bars

There Is A New Way For Under Age Teens To Get Into Bars And Clubs And It Does Not Involve A Fake I.D. Instead Teens In The Area Are Actually Acquiring Real I.D.'S With Their Pictures On Them Straight From The Department Of Transportation. Shreveport City Marshals Say This Is A Scary New Trick That Needs To Be Stopped.
D.R. Buckingham said, “They Are Actually Real I.D. Cards That Are Given Out By The D.M.V. But The Information On The I.D. Card Is Incorrect”.
Marshals Say Teens Wait For A Name To Be Called At The D.M.V. If The Person Doesn't Show Up, They Walk Up To The Desk, Pretend To Be The Person And Use The Real Information And Take The Picture.
D.R. Buckingham said, “When We Swipe It At The Club It Comes Up That It Is Good Information”.
But City Marshals Are No Longer Fooled By The I.D. Cards. They Say If You Look Under Age They Are Going To Quiz You About Something On The Card.
D.R. Buckingham said, “It May Be Something Very Small On The I.D. Card Like How Much Do You Weigh, And If They Can't Then We Quiz Them A Little Bit Further And That Is How We've Caught Many, Many Individuals With Fake I.D.S Out There”.
Buckingham Says The D.M.V Needs To Do Their Part To Crack Down On The Identity Theft.
D.R. Buckingham said, “The D.Mv. Needs To Step It Up A Little Bit And Start Making People Actually Bring In Someone And Say This Is Who That Person Is Or Bring In Another Form Of Identification”.
The D.M.V. Had No Comment When We Asked About The Under Age Identity Theft Or Their Practices. So If You Are A Teen And Are Participating In This Scam, You Might Want To Watch Because The City Marshal's Are Watching.
