BOSSIER CITY — Four weeks worth of public hearings on the Bossier City budget have begun.

The first meeting drew a large crowd of angry people. The public was allowed to comment on the budget which would cut up to 80 police and firefighter positions.

Officials say the hearings will work to resolve the $6.5 million city deficit in a $50.3 million budget.
