BATON ROUGE - The fallout over the 2006 firing of Dr. Cuthbert Simpkins continues.
Simpkins was the head of the trauma unit at LSU hospital.
In addition to firing simpkins, the hospital placed restrictions on his credentials that prevent him from practicing medicine.
Simpkins says he was only fired after blowing the whistle on poor health conditions at the hospital.
Reverand Joe Gant says he believes the issue needs to be looked into by an outside source.
Gant believes most at the hospital are good people, but the problem lies in the administration.
