SHREVEPORT — A woman in Shreveport was allegedly kidnapped and raped on Saturday.

Police say the woman waved an officer down around 5 a.m. at Kings Highway and Barret Street to report what happened.

The woman claims a man offered her a ride and she accepted. He then drove to the Kings Highway exit of I-49 and pulled a gun. The man then made her strip and sexually assulted her.

Officials say the rapist is described as a black male in his early 20s, standing around 5 feet 10 inches with a skinny build, short hair and possibly a gold tooth.
