At the general meeting of the Shreveport Bird Study Group, Jacob Kraemer will discuss a brief history of aviculture and its importance in conservation, education and research. Kraemer will also explain what he does as an aviculturist. He will describe the goals of the privately-owned and operated Pinola Preserve, and provide some insight into the birds kept and bred at the preserve.
