LSU's Dance Team Wins Jazz and Hip Hop Titles [VIDEO]
Those beautiful LSU Tiger Girls, also known as the LSU dance team, won the Hip Hop and Jazz titles at the World University Championships.
The team of hot dancing babes from Baton Rouge finished 3rd and 6th in the UDA National Championships.
LSU’s Cheerleading squad advanced to the national finals and finished 7th in Division IA during the UCA National Championships.
There is not a new video yet, but the LSU Tiger Girls are beautiful every year so just enjoy this video from a couple of years ago.

Chris Brown Accused of Assaulting Frank Ocean Over a Parking Space. That Sounds About Right.
Chris Brown‘s quest to convince us he’s the music world’s biggest jerk continues, this time by being investigated for assault against singer Frank Ocean. Over a parking space.
Come now, children. If you’re going to play together, you’ll have to learn how to share.
According to TMZ‘s side of the story, Brown and Ocean were involved in an “all-out brawl” on Jan. 27, with sources connected to Chris saying Frank started everything. But since these are people who probably just don’t want to see their supply of free weed and Rolexes disappear, their honesty is rather questionable.
The story goes that Brown was at the Westlake recording studio in LA listening to one of the artists he represents when Ocean and his entourage blocked his car from leaving.
“This is my studio, this is my parking spot,” Ocean allegedly yelled, twirling his handlebar mustache.
Then, being the gentleman we know him to be, Chris went to shake Frank’s hand and was summarily attacked by a member of Ocean’s crew. In response, someone from Brown’s side attacked back, Frank came at Chris, Chris pushed him and demanded all his lunch money and then a fight broke out.
Police cleared the scene which Brown fled (because that doesn’t look suspicious), while Ocean, whom they are calling “the victim,” stayed behind. No one is currently pressing charges but the cops would like to talk to Brown. As usual.
Meanwhile, Ocean’s version, which appeared on Twitter, details the incident the same way police see it, which is that Brown attacked him. (Everest is Frank’s dog, by the way.)

Witnesses who were on the scene side with Ocean, saying, “Brown threw the first punch.” Which, given Breezy’s history, makes a lot more sense.
The children’s version of this is Goofus beats up his girlfriend and attacks others over parking spaces, while Gallant smokes pot and loses his driver’s license — but would never hit a girl.

When making a resume, there is a fine line between standing out and being too gimmicky. Job seeker Philippe Dubost completely destroyed that line, but we have to say his Amazon-style CV is much more brilliant than it is off-putting.
You can see the entire thing here, but the short of it is that Dubost’s resume mimics the ubiquitous Amazon product page — only he is what’s for sale.
And since he is looking for employment as a web product manager the fact that he was both able to skillfully design the resume and have it go viral also suggests he would be good at his job.
Dubost says he has been contacted by over 100 potential employers since the site went up.
In the resume, the tri-lingual Frenchman notes that he can be “shipped anywhere in the world.” While the majority of his reviews are 5 stars, to make it more realistic he did include some 1 and 2 star reviews.
“Lots of ex-girlfriends,” he joked on the Twitter feed he has set up to track the responses to the resume.
Dubost, a self-described Amazon addict, said his motivation to put himself in his favorite website was simply that it was a fun idea.
“I wanted to do something fun,” he said. “Resumes are not fun. They’re not fun to write, not fun to read,” he explained. ”I thought it would be fun to build a small web product that would feel a little bit like a game you could interact with, like those baby toys where every button you push makes a different noise.”

Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber is currently under investigation for gun control charges after brandishing his finest Nerf gun at a venue in Ottowa, Canada.
Hey, it’s Canada. They take their styrofoam bullets very, very seriously.
A female employee of the venue where the Biebs was performing in November of last year claims that Bieber or someone near him assaulted her. And by “assaulted” we mean she was hit by something plushy and made of foam.
Sources say Bieber was having a Nerf-gun fight with his 3-year-old brother and 4-year-old sister when one of the lethal day-glo orange projectiles flew off-course and hit the employee, who allegedly became “hysterical” and yelled at Justin’s team that she was security guard for the venue.
She later filed a police report and the finest Canadian Mounties are currently investigating. People from the venue have already been interviewed, a process that was rudely interrupted when Snidley Whiplash stole Dudley Do-Right’s girlfriend and he had to make a quick exit to save her from a runaway train.

Adele is flying high professionally, what with her recent Golden Globe win and Academy Award nomination, both for her James Bond theme ‘Skyfall.’ She’s also booked a performance at this year’s Oscars, where a win is quite possible. However, the new mom’s personal life has a bit of a wrinkle, since she has no relationship with her biological father, Mark Evans. Wanting badly to meet his grandson — Adele’s firstborn, who entered the world in October — he’s taken to reaching out to her in the media.
Evans told the Daily Mail (quotes via E!) that he wants to fix the broken relationship with his estranged daughter and meet his grandson, whose name Adele has yet to confirm to the press. “I’ve left messages on her phone, I’ve written to her and I’ve sent her birthday and Christmas cards,” he said. “But it’s like I’m dead to her.”
Evans was quick to say that he doesn’t want to pursue a relationship with his daughter simply because of her celebrity status, fame and money. “I just want my daughter back and I want to be a proper granddad to the little one,” he said.
Adele gave birth three months ago, and speculation abounds that her son’s name is Angelo James, since she wore a necklace with that name to the Golden Globes. Evans had a not-too-nice comment about his grandson’s possible name, saying he wishes Adele had incorporated family monikers, like that of her late grandfather.
“I’d hoped so much that she’d put my late dad’s name, John, in there somewhere, but alas it looks as if it is not going to be,” Evans said. “I’m not sure why she’s chosen James, other than a reference to James Bond, and God alone knows where Angelo has come from. It’s very L.A., isn’t it?”
That’s not exactly the best way to open up a relationship, by criticizing her son’s possible name.
Evans believes his daughter will win the Best Original Song Oscar for ‘Skyfall,’ but he won’t watch the performance. “I know she’ll win [for best song] because she’s brilliant, but I won’t be there and I won’t even watch it on television,” Evans said. “It would upset me too much to know that I was watching something that my dad never got to see. I’d break down and fall apart.”
Something tells us airing his dirty laundry with Adele to the press won’t make her quick to rekindle their relationship. Just sayin’.

Now that we’ve all had a chance to try on Justin Timberlake‘s ‘Suit & Tie,’ it’s only natural to wonder what’s in store for us in the rest of his upcoming ‘The 20/20 Experience’ record — and one person who might know a thing or two is Timberlake’s past collaborator, T.I.
T.I., who worked with Timberlake on the 2006 track ‘My Love,’ opened up to MTV about some more recent studio time the two shared with producer Timbaland. “I did a record for them at the end of last year. They were working on a record together, and I had the pleasure of assisting them on their particular record,” he revealed, adding, “I think it’s called ‘Goodbye Homey,’ one of them is, and then there is another one; I did maybe two or three records with them.”
As you might have already guessed from the title, ‘Homey’ was inspired by the feeling of what T.I. described as “saying goodbye to something that is very special to you” — but that doesn’t mean it relates to any particular relationship. “Not necessarily a person; it could be a time of your life, it could be an experience, it could be a relationship, it could be a friend that’s passed on,” he pointed out. “‘Goodbye Homey,’ it has so many meanings and definitions. So when you hear it, you absorb it, and then whatever it means to you is what we intended.”
Whether ‘Goodbye Homey’ — or any of the other songs they worked on together — made the ’20/20′ cut remains to be seen. But as far as T.I. is concerned, “It’s just great that he’s back into doing music.” Describing ‘Suit & Tie’ as “phenomenal,” he added, “It was definitely a sound that was missed.”

'Mean Girls: The Musical' Coming to Broadway?
‘Mean Girls’ quickly became the cult hit of the early 2000s and defined a new generation of movie goers dealing with their own versions of “The Plastics.” But are we ready to hear “that’s so fetch” on the Broadway stage?
Tina Fey hit the 2013 SAG Awards red carpet Sunday, and while she looked absolutely breathtaking, the bigger news was what she revealed to E! News’ correspondent Giuliana Rancic: she wants to make a ‘Mean Girls’ musical!
“We want to. I would love to… I think Paramount’s onboard,” she said, though official responses from her spokespeople were unavailable. In addition, when Fey was asked about the famous ‘American Idol‘ judges fight between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, she said, “I loved it! And I think Mariah won. … Maybe she can play Amy Poehler‘s part in the musical” (i.e. “I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom!”) That is, if Carey ever decided to do Broadway.
If you remember, Fey wrote the screenplay for ‘Mean Girls’ (in addition to portraying Lindsay Lohan‘s hysterical math teacher). If she fulfills the same role for a musical version, we think we can get on board this project. Our concern, though, is the ‘Legally Blonde: Musical’ example, which, for the most part, ended up using the same jokes/oneliners from the movie to little avail. Considering ‘Mean Girls’ has currently grossed nearly $130 million worldwide, however, folks would probably still find so much joy in hearing, “that’s why her hair is so big, it’s full of secrets,” at least a few more times.

It hasn’t taken long for the Lance Armstrong story to become the hottest new biopic in town. Shortly after the cyclist confessed to doping on Oprah, J.J. Abrams‘ Bad Robot snatched up the rights to an upcoming book about Armstrong. And everybody wants to be in the J.J. Abrams business right now.
Turns out a certain handsome, Oscar-nominated actor has aggressively thrown his hat into the ring to portray the embattled athlete: None other than Bradley Cooper. But how close is he to securing the part?
For the record, this match made in movie heaven is not a done deal, but it sure looks close. Last week, Cooper made his desire to fill Armstrong’s shoes known to the BBC in an interview in which he called the cyclist “fascinating.” But he’s not stopping there, as Entertainment Tonight discovered a couple of nights ago while speaking with Abrams at the Producer’s Guild Awards.
According to Abrams himself, Cooper has reached out about the Armstrong gig, telling ET Cooper “sent me an email and we’ve been talking.” What we wouldn’t give to read the entirety of that email exchange…
[UPDATE - Cooper spoke to Access Hollywood about the rumors, calling them "nuts," adding, "I didn't even know that J.J. [Abrams] has the rights. I had no idea.” For what it’s worth, Cooper also adamantly denied rumors he would be starring in ‘The A-Team’ but we know how that turned out…]
While it’s obviously not set in stone yet, it’s hard to imagine Abrams saying, “Nah, we can do better” to Cooper in this case; the two are at the top of their game in their respective fields, not to mention the fact that Cooper brings the necessary clout, and has just the right look, to play Armstrong. Besides, Cooper and Abrams aren’t strangers: Cooper co-starred in the Abrams-produced ‘Alias’ for two seasons, which helped solidify the actor’s place in the public eye at the same time it kick-started Abrams’ ascension to being one of Hollywood’s most powerful producers.
It still might be a little while before we hear something definitive on this front; the book hasn’t even been published yet (it supposedly hits shelves this summer) and these key players are a bit busy at the moment. Or haven’t you heard?

Ut oh. Rapper Rick Ross, who is never short on controversial headlines, whether he is posing shirtless on magazine covers or passing out on planes or canceling concerts due to death threats, was reportedly involved in a drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. this morning (Jan. 28).
Consequence of Sound reports that Ricky Rozay was the target of shooting, according to eyewitnesses. This feels like Tupac and Biggie all over again, and it bums us out.
Local news sources suggested that 20 shots were fired at a Rolls Royce at 5AM. The shots were fired from another vehicle. The Rolls tried to, well, roll away, but it crashed into a building. Yikes.
The cops claim that neither passenger inside the Rolls was hurt. The names of those involved were not released officially, but other sources point squarely to Ross, the boss of the Maybach Music Group, who recently purchased property in the area.
There seems to be some serious threats on Ross’ life lately. He had to cancel gigs in North Carolina after a Chicago gang known as the Gangstar Disciples threatened him. He canceled the tour, blaming the promoter’s organization skills – actually, the lack thereof — but it’s been whispered that the threats had more to do with it. The Disciples have a Florida branch, which may or may not have had anything to do with this attempted hit on Ross.
The authorities are on the hunt for whomever fired the shots.

Frank Ocean, Chris Brown Fight Over Parking Space
Parking spaces are serious real estate in Los Angeles — but enough to cause two musicians to come to blows? The answer, apparently, is yes, as Frank Ocean and fellow R&B star Chris Brown put up their dukes yesterday (Jan. 27) over a studio parking spot.
Police were summoned to L.A.’s Westlake Recording studio after the two men used their fists to solve the issue, according to TMZ.
Ocean tweeted, “Got jumped by Chris and a couple of guys. Lol. I only wish everest was there.” While that made the incident seem less than serious, the singer also posted: “Cut my hand now I can’t play with two hands at the grammys.”
Now that’s a problem.
Brown’s sources, meanwhile, claim that Ocean instigated the brawl, saying, “This is my studio, this is my parking spot.” Breezy’s witnesses also allege that someone in Ocean’s crew “then attacked Brown when he went to shake hands with Ocean.”
Sounds like a messy case of “he said, he said.” The two have something of an antagonistic history, as Brown was accused of hurling a homophobic slur at Ocean, who revealed last year that he’d had a same-sex love affair.

Taylor Swift and One Direction both performed at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France on Saturday, Jan. 26, with T. Swizzle pointedly steering clear of the whole of 1D clan due to her ex, Harry Styles, being a member. What a difference a few weeks makes, since those two couldn’t keep their hands of each other a month ago. Drama, drama, drama.
T. Swizzle and Hazza reportedly timed their red carpet appearances so that they avoided one another and prevented any drama and awkwardness, or staring one another down with the stink eye. Styles and 1D did the carpet about a half hour before Swift arrived.
A source told Us Weekly that the exes avoiding one another was planned in advance. Nothing was left to chance, because God knows that would have been a red carpet Hindenburg! Or a “Haylorburg!”
“It was very carefully timed so they didn’t do the carpet at the same time,” the insider said, “Taylor didn’t do any backstage interviews and didn’t use a dressing room — she changed at the hotel because she didn’t want to see Harry at any point. Things were timed to keep them apart and for it to not become a big media circus.”
Swift actually would have been smart to show up concurrently and waltz past her ex and his bandmates to knock ‘em dead and make their jaws drop in her longsleeved, gold and white Elie Saab dress with a plunging neckline, which showed off her assets. She has been showing a lot of her cleavage lately, leading to much speculation that she’s had a surgical upgrade of dem boobies.
Her mounds looked good, yes, but check out those stems. The girl has amazing, glowing gams.
Actually, sources say she did one better by looking directly at Hazza during her performance of ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.’ Ouch!
“She was talking in French on the microphone saying, ‘So he calls me up and he’s like ‘je t’aime, je ‘t’aime toujours … je ne sais pas [I love you, I still love you, I don't know]. No! We are never ever getting back together, like ever!’” an eyewitness said about the perf.
The score, as of right now, and based solely on the NRJ Awards situation: Taylor Swift, 1. Harry Styles, 1 — because he actually took home an award. We can’t wait to see what kind of tiebreaker she’ll come up with.

Dads are great at so much: teaching us how to play catch, embarrassing us in front of our friends when we’re in high school, fixing that step on the porch, etc. But skateboarding is not one of those things.
Though the lovable dad in this clip isn’t trying to ride the skateboard, he still manages to give us solid evidence as to why he and his kind should never be allowed to play with such devices. One of the great joys of YouTube is its mind-bogglingly deep selection of skateboarders failing at skateboarding. We’re happy to add this dad to that long tradition, even if he’s not quite in the same class as, say, this poor guy.

233 Killed In Brazilian Nightclub Blaze
233 people are reported dead after a fire erupted at the Brazilian nightclub Kiss Sunday.
Police say the fire began when a band that was playing at the club set off pyrotechnics during its show, setting the building’s ceiling on fire.
The crowd of close to 900 patrons then panicked and attempted to flee the burning building, many of whom were trapped or were trampled to death.
The bodies were taken to a nearby gymnasium for identification, police said, adding that more than 100 people were injured, most remaining hospitalized.
Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff cut short a visit to Chile to console relatives of the dead and injured in the disaster. She later declared a three-day mourning period for victims of the fire.

Krewe of Artemis Springhill Mardi Gras Parade 2013 Pictures and Video
Holly and I parked on Main St. in Springhill on Saturday the 26th to enjoy the Krewe of Artemis Mardi Gras parade! I set up my camera and recorded the entire parade in video form. I edited the video down but it’s still about 14 minutes long. We had a blast! Check to see all the cool floats and stuff. Also pictures. Lots of pictures here.

Get ready for some tears, folks! It’s never easy when an owner hears the horrid news of having to put their pet down. Coming to grips with the fact that a member of the family is suffering is difficult. But in this case, the owner of Lennox — a dog dying of severe cancer who also suffers from arthritis — decided not to focus on the negative. Instead, he chose to make Lennox’s last meal an epic one.
Lennox was offered a smorgasbord of unhealthy goodies, including a turkey leg, a cheeseburger, some bacon, a Greek salad and some biscuits. We think it’s safe to say that he thoroughly enjoyed the treat! Check out his excitement in the photo below just before going to town:

Adam Levine hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’ last night (Jan. 26). How did he do, tackling this high-pressure gig? Was he hilarious and comfortable playing the funnyman, or did he crash and burn like a flaming lead balloon?
He was actually excellent, since his comic timing is impeccable, he is incredibly good looking and he can charm the pants off a snake. He played himself more than once, but that worked to his advantage, as it showed he doesn’t take himself too seriously as he has transitioned from singer and rock dude to celebrity.
He delivered his opening monologue in a dapper black suit, joking that he knew it was a matter of time before he would “over reach” and try something new, like the ‘SNL’ hosting gig or being a ‘The Voice‘ coach. He had some serious help getting through the first five minutes, as former cast member Andy Samberg, actress Cameron Diaz and sitcom king Jerry Seinfeld appeared in big red chairs as ‘The Voice’ coaches, skewering the singer’s singing ‘Voice’ and “coaching” him on how to use his shirtlessness and his Jewishness as assets when hosting the show.
Yes, he got shirtless, showing off a torso full o’ tattoos, during the monologue, so if you think A. Lev is hot, then you probably agree that he started off on the right foot.
He played gay TV host Todd Anthony on ‘Circle Work,’ with a fab lock of hair and even more faboo eye rolling skills.
The funniest skit was Maroon 5 vs. Train at a cafe that serves wine after dark, where Levine and a faux Pat Monaghan rumbled, yet didn’t try and kill one another. They just had a dance off. Levine’s M5 bandmates were there to back him up. Cast member Jason Sudeikis played Jason Mraz, getting violent with a mandolin, while Bill Hader literally riffed on John Mayer, making rubbery faces while wailing on the guitar. They battled, broke into spontaneous song and danced their faces off. We nearly peed our pantalones with laughter.
Levine also spoofed the ‘Catfish’ TV show, playing filmmaker Neve Schulman, delivering the funniest line of the skit flawlessly, saying, “As always, I just woke up and the cameras caught me disheveled and cute.” His timing was so spot on, we nearly died. The coif was hilarious, and Levine even made himself giggle mid-skit a few times, Jimmy Fallon-style.
Levine played himself in another ‘Law + Order’-type skit, too, where he was romanced by Bobby Moynihan’s amorous, Danny Glover-loving, Tom Brady-banging groupie named Janet. She plied him with pills to get him back to her Yonkers apartment after a show.
