New 'Dancing With the Stars' Cast Includes a Few Names You May Almost Recognize
The cast of season 16′s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ was announced, and unlike most of the previous seasons, you may actually know some of the stars on this one.
A potential frontrunner is already present in Disney starlet Zendaya Coleman, who’s a trained dancer and plays one on ‘Shake It Up.’ Did we mention she’s 16 and gorgeous, too? She’s partnered with Valentin Chmerkovskiy (whose brother, the hot but tempestuous Maksim, isn’t back this season).
Former ‘American Idol’ runnerup and current Miley Cyrus doppelganger Kellie Pickler will be paired up with Derek Hough, while fellow country crooner Wynonna Judd hits the floor with Tony Dovolani.
Two Olympians are on this season to show everyone else in the competition that they lack discipline and are failures in comparison: Aly Raisman (with Mark Ballas) and Dorothy Hamill (with Tristan MacManus). Other athletes include Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones with Karina Smirnoff and boxer Victor Ortiz with Lindsay Arnold.
Jones is one to watch — not only have NFL athletes performed well in past seasons, but this dude has a brand new Super Bowl ring.
Reality star (a term used loosely) Lisa Vanderpump and soap star (a term also used loosely) Ingo Rademacher will dance with Gleb Savchenko and Kym Johnson, respectively.
Two funnymen are on the roster this season, too, though the latter is funnier in a pathetic way: D.L. Hughley will foxtrot with two-time ‘DWTS’ champ Cheryl Burke, while Andy Dick will bring his chronic hot mess self to work with Sharna Burgess. (Godspeed, girl.)
Because there are newer pros this year, the “stars” for once won’t be eclipsed by their partners. But that doesn’t mean the stars won’t fall.
Source: StarCrushGhostly Beauty Shop Prank Will Make You Afraid of Mirrors
It seems certain that last year stood as the Year of the Prank. With examples ranging from that terrifying zombie corpse to the ghostly little girl terrorizing elevator riders, we were rather nervous that 2013 wouldn’t hold up. Luckily, thanks to this hoax pulled off at a beauty salon, there’s still hope!
Uploaded just yesterday, this video — which shows the employees of a local beauty shop having some fun with their customers — is well on it’s way to becoming our favorite prank yet. Dressed as a possessed ‘Exorcist’-like ghoul, an employee gets behind a two-way mirror in an attempt to deliver the scare of a lifetime unto the shop’s clientele. And as successful as that part of the prank was, it looks as if the customers really reacted once she came out to play.
Whether or not those haircuts were on the house is uncertain.

Lindsay Lohan may finally have some work coming her way, but she’s got a lot of work ahead of her in terms of staying out of the slammer.
Lohan will appear with pal and frequent monetary contributor Charlie Sheen on ‘Anger Management,’ playing herself as a patient and love interest for Sheen’s character, Dr. Charlie Goodson.
The episode will air in April on FX to coincide with Sheen and Lilo’s release of ‘Scary Movie 5.’ Here’s hoping she got clauses in this contract not to kiss Sheen on the mouth again.
Lohan’s going to need those paychecks for her legal bills, especially if wannabe Matlock Mark Heller remains her rep.
In her lying to cops case, TMZ reports that Heller is trying to get the entire thing thrown out of court on grounds that Lohan wasn’t read her Miranda rights.
Heller’s motion to dismiss the case likely won’t fly for a few reasons.
For one, Lohan (for once) wasn’t in police custody. Two, it’s customary and legal to ask questions after a car crash without Mirandizing anyone. Three, Lohan’s entertainment lawyer was present for the entire interview.
Perhaps most bizarrely, Heller filed his paperwork as a “Bill of Particulars,” which is not only unheard of in California, but also includes a motion to suppress evidence, a motion to continue the case and a motion to dismiss charges.
Basically, she would have been better off if Heller filed paperwork that consisted of dinosaur drawings and botched Sudoku puzzles.

[onescreen item="5020646"]
It might seem like a simple procedure, but the traditional bouquet toss at a wedding can create quite a bit of mayhem: fire, wrestling matches, multiple-bridesmaid pile-ups, you name it.
It’s surprising how durable this particular wedding ritual has proved. The idea that the woman who catches the bouquet will be the next to get married, well, that just doesn’t seem like the kind of custom that’s built to last in the 21st century. But even when it is inevitably retired, we’ll always have these marvelously memorable moments to look back on.

Please, tell me there was an actual ring in the box!
Us Weekly reports that former “Saturday Night Live” castmember Andy Samberg and girlfriend of five years Joanna Newsom are now engaged to be married.
Wonder if Justin Timerlake and Jessica Biel will be in attendance at the wedding; after all, Samberg was at their wedding back in October.
Samberg is currently at work on a TV pilot for Fox from the creators of “Parks and Recreation” where he will play a New York City police detective. I’d tune in!
The Onion Apologizes For Offensive Tweet
The satirical newspaper The Onion issued a rare apology Monday after an offensive tweet about 9-year-old Best Actress nominee Quvenzhane Wallis.
During Sunday’s live Oscar broadcast, The Onion tweeted sarcastically, ”Everyone else seems afraid to say it, but that Quvenzhané Wallis is kind of a c–t, right? #Oscars2013.”
The tweet was gone an hour later after some scathing backlash from social media.
Onion, Inc. CEO Steve Hannah posted a letter of apology on The Onion’s official Facebook page that read,
Dear Readers, On behalf of The Onion, I offer my personal apology to Quvenzhané Wallis and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the tweet that was circulated last night during the Oscars. It was crude and offensive—not to mention inconsistent with The Onion’s commitment to parody and satire, however biting.

State With Highest Teen Pregnancies [VIDEO]
According to a study by Today, Louisiana can thank Hurricane Katrina for not having the highest teen pregnancy rate in the county. I’m not sure that was a blessing though. This article is quite scary. Read the whole thing by clicking here and check out an excerpt here.
FYI, New Mexico currently has the highest rate of teen pregnancy.
Louisiana saw the largest bump, from 67 to 80 pregnancies per 1,000 from 2005 to 2008. However, Guttmacher researchers noted, Hurricane Katrina caused disruptions and an exodus from the state in 2005, making that year’s teen pregnancy rate artificially low. Utah’s teen pregnancy rate went up by 12 percent between 2005 and 2008, and Pennsylvania’s went up by 11 percent.

Janet Jackson + Wissam Al Mana Wed In a Disappointingly Low-Key Ceremony
Seems a source (and in turn we) were completely trolled by reports that Janet Jackson and her billionaire fiance, Wissam Al Mana, were going to have an obscenely opulent ‘Super Sweet 16′-style wedding.
Instead, turns out the couple were married in a very low-key ceremony last year.
“The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true,” the couple explained, dashing all our hopes and dreams of an elephant processional. “Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.”
“Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities,” they added, just in case you think they’re fibbing about a lavish affair.
“We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy,” they concluded, signing the missive “with love.”
Great. What are we supposed to do with this all gold, frankincense and myrrh we got them as wedding presents now?

Funny Picture About The Mayan Calender Being Wrong
Here’s a funny picture pointing out something that I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice. Maybe it’s a coincidence or perhaps it’s Mayan / YOLO related. Either way, you’ll have a hearty chuckle. Or at the very least, breathe out of your nose in a rapid manner.
imgur.comAdele Brings the House Down With 'Skyfall' at the 2013 Oscars [VIDEO]
The 2013 Oscars were business as usual for Adele. And by “business as usual,” we mean “she slayed and acted like it was nothing.”
With her flowing strawberry blond hair down instead of in her usual bouffant, the British chanteuse looked looser than ever, and her performance of the Oscar-winning ‘Skyfall’ reflected as much. Owning the heck out of a sparkling black dress (a big improvement from the afghan she sported at the 2013 Grammys), Adele was relatively stationary, but was animated on her perch at her mic.
The only part of her performance more gorgeous than her was her own voice.
The most remarkable thing about Adele is her ability to make it all look so easy. Her closing notes seemed effortless and ho-hum for the multiple Grammy winner. But she showed, in her usual adorable way, just how stoked she was: After the lights fell, then came back on, she was glowing and grinning with excitement.
How freakin’ cute is she? If Tina and Amy can host everything, we need Adele to perform at everything. Ever.
Source: StarCrushCity Tells Man He Can Whistle — But Only If He's Walking
Who knew whistling could stir up so much emotion?
Robert Smith has reached a deal in which he has agreed to whistle in downtown Portland, Maine as long as he is not standing still.
Smith, who lives in nearby Westbrook, apparently had gotten people into a tizzy because of his loud whistling. It’s so loud, in fact, that police cited him twice in the last year after people had complained about it. So now, Smith is free to keep on whistling – as long as he’s moving.
Smith had argued his whistling was nothing more than free speech, but several downtown business don’t see it that. They say Smith is annoying.
Portland Downtown District Executive Director Janis Beitzer summed it by saying, “Just like if somebody plays an instrument in front of your business or has the radio on constantly, it’s irritating.”
For his part, Smith says he wants people to feel as happy as he does when he whistles, noting, “I’m not out here to be the best whistler in the world. I’m just trying to make people smile.”
Jennifer Lawrence Gives the Middle Finger, Remains Awesome at the 2013 Oscars
Jennifer Lawrence won Best Actress at the 2013 Oscars but that’s not all people are talking about this morning. Lawrence was her usually sassy, wonderful self before, during and after the Oscars, including this shot above of her giving the middle finger and a big eff you face to someone backstage. Need more? We’ve compiled our favorite Jennifer Lawrence reaction shots in the gallery below.
Jennifer Lawrence was a tour de force at the 2013 Oscars and proved not everything has to be completely rehearsed or stuffy. Below are some of her best moments at the 2013 Oscars, starting with the backstage middle finger (which we don’t have a full explanation for just yet).

[onescreen item="5018913"]
Doing the Moonwalk is harder than it looks. Just ask any of these people.
When done correctly, the Moonwalk looks pretty spectacular. But just because Michael Jackson made it appear so smooth and effortless doesn’t mean that just anyone can do it. If you’re going to try it, we’d recommend elbow pads. And a helmet. And maybe a mouthpiece. You know, maybe it’s better just to watch.

No one knew what to expect when Jack Nicholson announced that a special guest would join him to present the award for Best Picture during Sunday’s Oscar ceremony.
But then the Dolby Theatre erupted into applause when First Lady Michelle Obama accompanied Nicholson onstage.
“[These films] taught us that love can beat all odds,” said Mrs. Obama of the Best Picture nominees. “They reminded us that we can overcome any obstacle if we dig deep enough and fight hard enough and find the courage within ourselves.”
The First Lady added that cinema “helps our children learn to open their imagination and dream just a little bigger and to strive every day to reach those dreams.”
“Argo” won the award, and an emotional Ben Affleck ended his acceptance speech by saying, “It doesn’t matter how you get knocked down in life, all that matters is how you get back up.”

Adele Performs 'Skyfall' at 2013 Oscars
During tonight’s Oscars ceremony (Feb. 24), Adele gave a stunning performance of ‘Skyfall,’ the theme song from the James Bond film of the same name (video below). The tune, which she co-wrote with producer Paul Epworth, won a Golden Globe last month and is up for an Academy Award in the category of Best Original Song.
Following an introduction by Jennifer Lawrence, Adele appeared onstage in an elegant sequined gown and sang a powerful rendition of the song alongside an orchestra, a choir and a glimmering backdrop. Acclaimed actress Sally Field was among those shown applauding in the audience after the performance.
According to the Daily Mail, Adele was “indescribably mind-blowing” while rehearsing for her Oscar performance. “Everyone stopped to listen,” said an observer. “The carpenters and lighting guys started applauding. It’s impossible to impress those guys but they were bowled over and showed their respect … It sounded out of this world unaccompanied and later some of us heard her sing with the full works, the full orchestra and it was one of those rare goose bump moments that you never forget.”
‘Skyfall’ reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts last year, marking Adele’s first song to debut in the top ten. She’s reportedly working on recording the follow-up to her best-selling sophomore album, ’21.’
