Warrant issued for Shreveport gunman

Law enforcement is investigating an altercation between two men in west Shreveport last week that ended with shots being fired.

Police have identified the man they believe is responsible for the shooting as 24-year old LeDarrick Gant.

Detectives believe Gant shot at 24-year old Mark Hill early Tuesday during a dispute between the two men in the 3000 block of Gaywood Street. Hill was not struck by gunfire, but did suffer minor injuries as a result of broken glass caused by bullets.

Gant is charged with one count of illegal use of a weapon and one count of convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Gant’s bond is set at $100,000

LeDerrick Gant, of the 4700 block of 3L Westwood Park Drive in Shreveport, is described as a black male about six feet tall weighing about 170 pounds.
