Want to learn how to swim?

Bossier City’s public swimming pools won’t open until June 1, 2011 however it’s not too early to sign up for swimming lessons that will be held this summer at the Mike Wood Memorial Park and Shed Road Community Playfield pools.

Applications are now being accepted at the BPAR office.

Four separate two-week sessions will be offered at the two pools beginning June 6. Participants may choose one-hour daily classes either at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. during each two-week session. The fee is $40. Applications are available at the BPAR office, 3223 Old Shed Road or may be downloaded from the Bossier Parks and Recreation website - www.bossiercity.org/Parks-&-Recreation.

Applications will also be available at both pools when they open on June 1. Applicants must be at least 4 years of age.
