A home invasion late Wednesday morning in southeast Shreveport sent one victim and one suspect to the hospital.  Two suspects are now in police custody.

Shortly after 11 a.m. this morning,  on the 9300 block of Wiscassett Drive, two men appeared at the door and gained entry to the home.  The two suspects overpowered the two victims that were inside the house at the time and duct-taped them.

Sgt. Bill Goodin explained that "At some point, during this robbery, another male showed up at the house coincidentally to visit the folks who were inside the home."  He then assisted the other two victims in fighting back against the suspects.  One of the original victims was able to fire at least one shot towards one of the suspects.  No one was hit by the shots fired.

One victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, but was released a short time later.  One suspect was also taken to the hospital in police custody, but the second suspect had fled the scene before police arrived.

The second suspect was arrested a short time later.
