BATON ROUGE,LA  — A verdict has been reached in the First-Degree murder trial against Rapper Torrence Hatch, aka Lil’ Boosie. He has been found Not Guilty. We will have all the details coming up on NBC33 News at 5:00 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY: After six days of testimony the Lil' Boosie trial will soon be in the hands of the jury. This is after the prosecution finished its case yesterday and Lil' Boosie's defense team decided not to call any witnesses.

The prosecution, on the other hand, called almost 30 witnesses to the stand. This included Mike Louding. He allegedly murdered Terry Boyd back in October of 2009 on orders from Lil' Boosie. On the stand though he said he didn't commit the murder. This was contradicted by a taped interrogation played during the trial.

The prosecution also focused on the rapper's lyrics during the case. They say they also tie Lil' Boosie to the murder.

The jury is expected to deliberate today, which means we could have a verdict by this evening. If convicted, Lil' Boosie faces life in prison.
