Crews were able to put out the fire at around 2:45 p.m. Friday.
A KMSS reporter says 8 vehicles that caught fire were pump trucks used to pump water at the well.
Crews at the scene tell KMSS the fire began when a hydraulic line got too hot and ignited.
A diesel tanker has exploded on the scene. It is unclear how that happened at this time.
The oil well is owned by Chesapeake Energy.
Caddo Fire Department and Sheriff Office along with the Shreveport Fire Department are on the scene.

Firefighters are trying to protect thousands of gallons of diesel fuel and explosives at the scene.
