UPDATE: Officials have taken 32-year-old Tyrone Fields into custody. They say he exited a house and gave himself up around 11:30 a.m..

SHREVEPORT - One of three men wanted for the attempted murder of a Ruston police officer has been surrounded by Shreveport and state police, as well as a U.S. Marshals task force in the Highland neighborhood of Shreveport.

32-year-old Tyrone DeWayne Fields is wanted on 1st degree attempted murder and several other warrants.

Shreveport Police Department officer are working tips in the neighborhood and suspect Fields is in a home near the intersection of Herndon and Alexander.

A nearby elementary school is currently on lockdown.
