UPDATE: Alleged thief turns self in at Bowie County Courthouse

BOWIE COUNTY — John David Martin surrendered himself this morning at the Bowie County Courthouse.

Martin was charged with theft over $1,500.00 under $20,000.00.

East Texas Authorities are searching two alleged thieves who stole items valued at more than $200,000.

Bowie County Sheriff's officials have issued an arrest warrant for 30-year old Steven Loyd Tayler of Redwater. His current location is unknown.

2003 Ford F350 truck
Troy Bilt tiller
Napa battery charger
5 rolls Red brand barbed wire
Scag zero turn lawn mower
3 ladders, Engersol industrial air compressor
Oxygen/Acetelyn tank combo on cart
Craftsman lawn mower
Husqvarna chain saw
Pressure Wave power washer
DFH utility trailer
Performance tool air tank
Briggs & Stratton power washer
2005 Gulfstream Cavalier trailer
2006 KY RV Jag trailer1992 Cavalier trailer
1995 Nissan Pickup
Dodge Cummins ECM unit
Triple axel dove-tail equipment trailer
16 ft. utility trailer

Detectives recovered other items such as vehicle parts, license plates and paperwork indicating more stolen vehicles had been scrapped at the same location.

John David Martin, 37, of New Boston, is also wanted for taking part in some of these thefts. His location is also unknown.

The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office ask any person who knows location of Steven Taylor or John David Martin please call 911 with the information or call Crime Stoppers.
