Two arrested for attempted murder

Shreveport Police responded to a call that shots were fired at Fulton and Wallace Wednesday around 9:00 p.m. Shortly after the call, police were told that a shooting victim had been brought into a local hospital.

Investigators learned the victim was driving South on Wallace at Midway when he noticed a gray or Silver newer Chevrolet Impala driven by 20-year-old Dalando "Lando" Garner. The two vehicles passed each other with Garner yelling profanities. As the victim kept driving, he noticed the vehicle had made a U-turn and began following him, which is when the victim heard multiple gunshots. The victim drove to the a relative's house in the 1700 block of Michele as the Garner fled the scene. It was then the victim realized he had been shot and was taken to the hospital where he was listed in good condition with a grazing wound to the neck.

Dalando Garner was positively identified as the suspect responsible for the shooting.

Shortly after midnight on Thursday, officers made a traffic stop on the 4000 block of Joplin on a vehicle matching the description of the alleged shooter's vehicle. Police arrested Dalando Garner and another man, 41-year-old Robert Farris, who was also in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

Both men were arrested and booked into the city jail for attempted first degree murder.
