Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says two men were arrested Tuesday night in Bossier City for possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop on East Texas Street.
Sergio Castillo of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kevin J. Cush of Bossier City, were traveling westbound on East Texas Street when Castillo was stopped by Bossier deputies for crossing back and forth on the white fog line.
When deputies spoke with Castillo, he agreed to a search of his vehicle, where deputies found two open cans of beer behind the driver’s seat. They also found a brown paper bag under the tool box in the bed of the truck that had a suspected bag of methamphetamine, a digital scale and several plastic baggies, along with an altered Texas driver's license in the backseat.
Castillo and Cush were charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Castillo was also charged with improper lane usage, no driver’s license, possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle and an altered driver’s license. They were taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility for booking. Their bonds are pending.
