Tip leads Shreveport police to purse snatcher

Wednesday, November 23, 2011 - 2:19pm

A second suspect has been jailed in connection with a purse snatching that occurred last weekend in downtown Shreveport.

Another tip to Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers led detectives to 32-year old Christopher James and the maroon SUV that 24-year old Brian Hogg allegedly used as his get-away car after he snatched a woman’s purse near the valet area at Eldorado Casino back on November 20, 2011. Investigators arrested James without incident and, after interviewing him, believe he drove Hogg to and from the scene of the crime.

James, of the 1500 block of Lampkin Circle in Bossier City, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of being a principal to purse snatching. Thanks as always are gratefully extended to Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers and our media partners for the invaluable assistance they both provide to us as we work to serve the citizens of Shreveport.
