Texas man wreacks havoc in Shreveport hotel
Police have arrested a Texas man for allegedly causing over $5,000 worth of property damage at a downtown hotel last night.
At approximately 10:53 p.m. on December 22, 2011, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to Sam’s Town Hotel in the 500 block of Clyde Fant Parkway relative to a disorderly person call. Upon arrival, authorities contacted hotel security officers who reported that a man, later identified as 21-year old Dustin L. Humphries, had apparently discharged a chemical fire extinguisher throughout the entire hallway on the 20th floor of the property. The value of the property damaged was initially estimated to be around $5,500.
Patrolmen immediately took Humphries, of Edgewood, Texas, into custody without incident and he was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of felony criminal property damage.
