Caddo sheriff’s detectives have arrested a tattoo artist and its owner on Tuesday for piercing the tongues of two juveniles without parental consent.

Nicholas Bernard Gobert, 24, of Shreveport, gave both girls, ages 16 and 17, piercings at Trendsetters Tattoo Shop on Jewella Avenue without checking their IDs or requiring parental approval. A third girl videoed the piercings on a cell phone as they were done. The owner of business, Jonathan R. Clinton, 31, of Shreveport, was present when the girls were pierced and was also arrested.

Both men were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center by Sgt. Richard Jennings of the Youth Services Division for the illegal tattooing and body piercing of minors.
