Law enforcement has arrested one person in connection with a Tuesday Vivian apartment shooting.

Authorities arrested 20-year Cortez Norman, of Shreveport, overnight during a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Crosby. He initially lied about his identity to the police on scene, but officers were able to determine the suspect was in fact Norman.

Norman was booked into the Shreveport City Jail where a hold was placed on him for a warrant obtained by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office. Norman will eventually be transferred to the Caddo Correctional Center. He will be booked on attempted second-degree murder of Caleb Rhodes, of Bossier City, and simple battery of a visiting woman.

Rhodes was shot at least three times in the leg and abdomen after he went to the Monterrey Hills Apartments in Vivian to visit a friend.
