Shreveport Police have arrested a suspect in connection with an overnight shooting that left a local man dead.

On Monday at around 8:42 p.m., officers received a call of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway in the 3500 block of Twilight Lane in Shreveport's Twilight Meadows subdivision. On arrival, police found 54-year old Ray Williams, of Shreveport, in the drivers seat of the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives arrested 41-year old Byron Lloyd, of Shreveport, several hours after the shooting when he surrendered at the police station. Officials believe Williams and Lloyd were involved in some type of dispute that ended with Lloyd shooting the Williams. Lloyd was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of manslaughter.
