Shreveport Police detectives have arrested the man they believe shot a United States Postal Service employee as he was leaving work last July.

Investigators were able to take 20-year-old Demeiko Decker into custody this evening with some help from his family members. A concerned relative working with detectives led police to Decker and he was taken into custody without incident. Demeiko Decker has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of illegal use of a weapon. His bond is set at $100,000.
